Trevor has been employed by many large companies working mainly in engineering before moving to a training environment. Trevor has 30+ years’ experience in the Health and Safety industry.

During this time Trevor has managed several large projects in Engineering, Oil and Gas, Commercial sector and private.

A fully qualified engineer who has delivered Health and Safety training for all types of organisations including International companies, local Government, Chemical companies and production organisations.

Expertise is varied but in the main lies within Health and Safety, Training and Engineering.

Maureen Miller

Maureen has been involved in the training sector for 20 years. She worked mainly with City and Guilds as an Internal Verifier for students undertaking NVQs in Heath & Social Care. Following this, for a period of time, she worked as an External Verifier for City and Guilds after leaving the nursing profession.

Currently, Maureen continues to maintain the quality standards expected of CCS Training alongside her Internal Verifier role for a private company in Scotland.

Maureen’s current role is now the Company Secretary for CCS Training looking after all the administration as well as co-ordinating the courses and trainers. An excellent communicator who takes great pride in providing the administration of the company to a high level.

Brian Magennis

Brian is a fully qualified Health and Safety Consultant with significant experience in providing accredited CITB, CSR, IOSH & NEBOSH courses, in addition to delivering a range of consultancy services. Brian has been one of our trainers since 2008.

During this time, Brian has put candidates through over 2,800 exams and can proudly boast of only 3 referrals – an exemplary pass rate of 99%

He has considerable experience working throughout the UK and Ireland delivering a variety of NEBOSH, IOSH and various bespoke courses candidates ranging from site operatives and machine operators to Senior Directors.

Professional Background

Brian has over 16 years experience in health and safety. In the Inland Revenue he was responsible for preparing Lone Worker and Outdoor Worker Guidance and policy including personal and group safety and delivering roll out of lone worker policy and outdoor worker policy. Also dealing with personal safety issues arising from staff in single occupancy rooms and staff regarding personal safety issues visiting clients and traders. Brian was also responsible for Managing 15 safety reps on various sites throughout Northern Ireland.

Areas of Expertise

Brian is an experienced mobile presenter and trainer of the IOSH and NEBOSH accredited courses, including the NEBOSH Diploma. In 2010 and 2012 Brian trained the highest scoring candidate in the NEBOSH Construction exams. The people that Brian train go on to become safety officers at the 2012 Olympics and throughout the UK and Europe.

He is a current NEBOSH General and International Certificate Examiner with a wide range of clientele before joining CCS Training Services.

Brian also specialises in ISO 9000:2008 and SafeTCert applications and acts as a consultant for the client.

He travels widely throughout the UK and Ireland travelling with laptop, projector and screen and all relevant PowerPoint presentations and video clips.

Alan Smith

Professional Background

Alan has over 20 years’ experience of various quality standards, working with a wide range of organizations both in the North East and throughout the UK. This has included the development and embedding of quality systems and processes, which led to the successful ownership of the key issues by both management and staff. As one of the first assessor’s Alan spent ten years assessing organizations against the national Investors in People standard. Alan has also experience of implementing Total Quality Management principles within a range of organizations and also a Quality Management Systems and ISO 9000 qualified lead auditor and currently carry out quality and training audits.

 

Sean McKeown

Professional Background

Security & Training Director

Sean is an accomplished security and intelligence professional with practical experience forged over twenty-five demanding years as a Royal Marines Commando and four years within the commercial security and training sectors. Versatile and highly motivated, with an in-depth understanding of unique risks involved in leading and operating within multi-skilled teams, in extreme hostile environments, specialising in Maritime Counter Terrorist operations world-wide.

With proven managerial, communication, and instructional skills, Sean is able to deliver executive decisions remaining within but not restricted by, legislation and procedural parameters. As a highly effective trainer, communicator and trusted leader, he has vast experience in managing physical and technical resources, able to motivate, inspire and excel within the security sector.

Experience

A specialist in training delivery including; planning and assessment within the security, threat & risk domains. To date he has conducted training in the close protection and maritime security sectors, reviewing security plans and conducting anti-piracy planning. He has current operational experience in various types of commercial security related issues within global high-risk & hostile areas.

Operationally Sean has successfully carried out various threat assessments, conducted risk analysis and produced in-depth security surveys, he has managed complex Intelligence led operations and conducted covert surveillance, as well as protecting high net worth individuals and assets within the European banking sector, commercial aviation, celebrity (music) and domestic spheres.

Aimee Nelson has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and been working in Environmental Management for over ten years. Aimee has worked in various manufacturing industries from textiles and electronics to pharmaceuticals. After a brief sabbatical in Spain, Aimee diversified by becoming a Health and Safety practitioner. Aimee became a trainer in 2011, mainly delivering NEBOSH, CIEH and now IEMA courses and providing Environmental Consultancy services for small businesses.

 

 

Paul Manning

Elaine Walker

Professional Background

SAM_1078Elaine Walker is a senior SVQ assessor in Social Services and Healthcare with over 14 years’ experience and trainer within the care sector. Elaine has worked previously as a Home Manager for 10 years and overall has 16 years of experience working in Management of Residential Care Homes.

Elaine assesses the level 2 and 3 Healthcare SVQ in Scotland and undertakes in-house mandatory training for Carers which includes Moving and Handling / Medication / Elder Abuse Awareness / First Aid / Dementia and Pressure Area Management.

 

 

 

Jeremy Sleet

Screen Shot 2018-08-23 at 09.03.16Jeremy, originally from North West London, has been a trainer for over 8 years and was formally a warrant officer First Class, in the Royal Navy serving in the submarine service for 34 years.

After his career in the Royal Navy, Jeremy joined YMCA Plymouth as a Public Services Tutor, and Health & Safety coordinator, before becoming a Health and Safety and First Aid trainer in 2015

Whilst at YMCA Plymouth, I held the role of Health & Safety Coordinator, advising the senior management team on all aspects of Health and safety at work, as well as directing the facilities team on physical and administrative health and safety.

Throughout my career in the Royal Navy, I was always involved in Health and Safety at work.  As the Officer of the Day for a Trafalgar Class Nuclear Submarine, I was responsible for; reserve of buoyancy, nuclear safety, Health and Safety, Safe systems of work, working at heights, the safety of dockyard workers and civilian contractors, the integrity of High-Pressure Air & Hydraulic systems. I also managed small scale construction projects within the military environment.
